Mohammad Kalam has been serving the Urdu community as the CEO of the Urdu Writers Society of North America for over 20 years. As a pioneer member of the society, he has dedicated himself to the noble cause of promoting Urdu writers across North America.
Early Life and Education:
Born in Karachi, Pakistan, Mohammad Kalam completed his 10th grade from Government High School, Nazimabad. He then pursued his Intermediate studies at National College and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Jinnah College.
Journey to America:
In 1980, Mohammad Kalam immigrated to the United States. Just one week after arriving, he began working at Jack in the Box as a regular employee. By 1984, he had risen to the managerial position in Los Angeles. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to purchase several Jack in the Box restaurants in California, which he successfully managed as a franchisee for 30 years. He is now a proud owner of a local business in Rancho Cucamonga.
Personal Life:
Mohammad Kalam married in 1984 and is blessed with a family of four children: three sons and a daughter. Recently, he celebrated becoming a grandfather for the first time, a milestone he cherishes deeply.
